There isn't much going on today. I did venture to the nearest pet store to buy Annie some food. She eats Science Diet Adult 7+ and Oral Care. They had the Adult food, but not the Oral Care. The lady at the counter said no one has asked for Oral Care yet, but they just started selling Science Diet two months ago! They ordered me a package of Oral Care that will come in tomorrow.
I thought I would mention a book that I have been reading for the last month, called Choosing Your Faith, by Mark Mittelberg. It's a great book about how to ask the right questions about what you really should believe in a world filled with so many religious options. Even for people who have no religion, or think they don't anyway. You still are having faith in something. We go to a restaraunt with faith that the cooks are not going to lace our food with poison. We drive down the road with faith that no one is going to side swipe us. Anyway, its a great book that people should read. My next book is Reasonable Faith, by William Lane Graig. I will report on that when I start it.

Conyers-Burton “Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act of 2008”
For the past couple of years the horse group I belong to, AlexBrownRacing.com, has been working hard in passing legislation to stop horse slaughter in the United States. In September of 2006 the House passed H.R. 503, but it failed to get any further. As of a few days ago another bill, Similar to H.R. 503 has now been introduced, called
H.R. 6958 (also title above). Information about the bill can be found here;
http://www.americansagainsthorseslaughter.com/
A bill tracker, to keep track of how the bill is doing, can be found here;
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h110-6598
Even though the slaughter plants in the US have been shut down, horses are finding an even worse fate across both north and south borders. This bill must be passed to keep American horses safe from the horrid abuse of the slaughter plant. If you haven't already, please call your congress persons and ask them to cosponsor HR 6598.

Introduction
Hi there, my name is Lynda, and I live in Versailles KY. I will be writing about various things. I have many interests and will be writing about most, if not all of them at one time or another. I just thought it would be fun to have a blog, and have somewhere to direct people to for news about me, if anything ever happens to me that is newsworthy. Some things I will be writing about concern horses, books I am reading, or have read in the past, christianity, My cat Annie, and any trips to interesting places I may make. There will be times I may write every day for awhile, and probably times I may not write for a week, so just check in every once in awhile for new posts!
