I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year! I counted books all day at work. There were not alot of orders, and I didn't want to leave. I get tomorrow off though with pay!

Worlds Tallest Horse

One of the radio shows I enjoy listening to recently went to one hour long instead of half an hour. Its at http://www.afa.net. It's called the AFA report and its really good.

A friend of mine got me a book for Christmas called The American Thoroughbred, by Edwin Anthony. It's about the pedigrees of thoroughbreds of this country and it is really a good book. He has a couple of chapters of tutorials that teach you how to read a pedigree and a breeding and racing tutorial that helps your learn the language so you can understand the rest of the book. So far it is really good. I will talk more about it as I get through the book.

Hi everyone. I know I didn't say anything in the other posts I don't think, but I just got done working 60 hours a week for a month at Amazon. We are now back to our regular work schedule. From what I understand, last year the 60 hour work week started in late October, so sales were really down here, but in the paper I read that Amazon as a whole actually did better than other years. Friday and Saturday it was really dead at work, and I hope things pick up next week!

In horse racing, Visionaire is getting a winter vacation, and I think Mouse Soup is too, because I have not gotten any workouts from her for over a month. Nicanor, Barbaro's little brother, had a 3 furlong workout today that he did in 36 seconds, which is really, really good. It sounds like he is close to a race. His trainer said he will probably make his first start either in January or February. Since he is starting his career as a 3 year old and not a 2 year old, I don't know if he will be ready for the Triple Crown races or not, but you never know. Curlin didn't race at 2 and he won the Preakness.

I promise, now that I have my days off back, I will write more!

Hi Everyone. My computer took longer to fix than I thought. they had it an extra week to do all the updates and fix it so it would go faster. I have been working full time at Amazon for 3 weeks now, but this week was the first time I got 40 hours. I worked 5 hours overtime today. I am basically a rebinner, but I learned a couple more things also. A rebinner scans the products and puts them on a cart that seperates all the orders. We get the products in totes that are on carts. Somebody in another part of the building (called "picking") gets the orders and puts them in the totes and when their hand held scanner says that tote is "done" they put the tote on a conveyer that brings it to the part of the building I am in. Then a sorter sorts out all the totes with their hand held scanners and puts them on carts, and when a cart is filled up we get it to scan and put them in individual orders. A couple weeks ago I tried picking but it made me dizzy lol. You are walking around in hundreds of isles and they have them sorted by letter and numbers, so you are walking and trying to follow the numbers and letters at the same time, and my eyes don't work that way!

I have got to download my camera on the computer since it was lost in the hard drive failure, but I will get the pictures of Keeneland and Kesmark up eventually. I have a photobucket site that I am going to download the pictures on and I will put the link to the site here.

Well thats all I can think of now. I will try hard to write some more tomorrow. A new lady is living here now to help with Dr Martin, so I will have more time to write stuff. But I am working full time now, but I will try to write more than I have. Talk to you all later!

Hard Drive Failure

Hi Everyone. The hard drive in my computer crashed, so I will not have my computer for a couple of weeks. I am posting now from the library. I wanted to write about my day at keeneland racetrack and post pictures, but I will do that after I get my computer back. Also I got a tour of Kesmark, which is a Equine Rahab center and I was going to write about that too, but I will get to all that in a couple of weeks!

I will be working full time starting next Wednesday, so I probably won't be able to get to the library after that, or mabe even on Tuesday because I believe that is a mandatory work day. Amazon wants to do a "stress test" on all the computers to make sure they will work correctly by November, so I will probably be working that day. I will know for sure Saturday. See you all later!

Jesus and the Old Testament

I have been doing an interesting bible study on the prophecies about Jesus in the OT. It's amazing how many there are (over 300) and I probably won't find them all. I am not sure there is a book that lists them all. You have to read all the books to find all 300. I am not going to write out all the verses, but just take time to compare these;
Micah 5:2 and Matt 2: 1-6
Isaiah 7:14 and Matt 1:18-25
Isaiah 35:5-6 and Luke 7:18-22
Zechariah 9:9 and Matt 21: 2-7
Zechariah 11:12 and Matt 26:14-16
Isaiah 50:6 and John 19:1-3/Matt 26:67
Psalm 34:20 and John 19:31-36
Psalm 16:9-10 and Acts 2:22-32

All of Psalm 22 talks about the crucifiction and all of Isaiah 53 is about the Person of Jesus Christ.

A really good book to read more about the prophecies is Evidence for Christianity, by Josh McDowell.
